Dance Prix de New York (2019)

As Producer of this new Classical and Contemporary combined competition with a strong educational focus, the Dance Prix de New York was a partnership with New York University/Tisch School of the Arts. The event united leading school and company directors in contemporary dance and classical ballet and offered competitors not only 3 performance opportunities, but also coaching, panel discussions and daily classes for the 6 days of competition. Judges selected competitors for recognition and offered scholarships and apprenticeships.

Indianapolis City Ballet
(2008 to 2018)

As Producer, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Indianapolis City Ballet, this organization revitalized the classical dance scene in Indianapolis, engaged the world's leading dancers to produce an annual gala-style performance, presented monthly, open master classes with some of the foremost dancers and teachers in the world, created an international ballet competition that drew the most talented students from the North America, Europe and Asia, distributed free online to the public a series of Q&A conversations with leaders in the dance world that was seen by more the 500,00 people, and produced a nationally distributed series of performances documentaries for PBS Television, each of which was nominated for Emmy Awards in the Arts.

Student Art Centers International
Italy (2006 to 2007)

Lead counsel to engage alumni of this 31 year-old Florence-Italy based art school in a new effort to raise awareness and funds for scholarships. The program created an Alumni Council and produced art exhibition and sale of works in NYC that were donated by world-famous artists including Arman Arman, Christo, Enrico Donati, Anh Duong, Audrey Flack, Ralph Gibson, Beverly Pepper and SACI alumni at Salander Galleries in New York that netted $150,000 in one night.

State of New Jersey - Arts Council Study (2005)

Strategic counsel (design study, interpret data and draft findings) for a study to test and revise the mission and programs of the State Arts Council and create a plan for implementation.

New River Dramatists
(1998 to 2004)

Co-Counsel/Lead Counsel for start-up, capital and operations funding for a playwrights and screen-writers intensive and creation of a ‘delivery system’ to producers nationally. The program entered its sixth season in the summer of 2004 with a site in the mountains in North Carolina and includes play readings in NYC and Los Angeles with accomplished stage and screen actors that had resulted in more than 190 plays produced in fully staged productions or professional readings.

City of Wilmington, Mayor’s Office for Cultural Affairs Study (2003)

Lead Counsel to create Strategic Plan for the Mayor’s Office in Wilmington, Delaware engaging diverse arts organizations within the City, identifying programs and needs, establishing goals and creating a structure for a new effort to revitalize and support the arts in Wilmington.

Brandywine Workshop
(2000 to 2003)

Co-Counsel on a successful $6 million capital campaign and outreach initiative to anchor the southern end of Philadelphia’s Avenue of the Arts. The campaign built a new printmaking shop and converted a historic firehouse to a gallery space in this minority-based neighborhood in Center-City.

The Parsons Dance Company
(1999 to 2001)

Lead Counsel for a Feasibility Study and Capital Campaign for relocation/space acquisition (including office design, construction, furnishing and equipment), creation of education program and establishing cash reserve. The campaign successfully completed its $425,000 phase one goal and was suspended after September 11, 2011.

Eagles Fly for Leukemia Radiothon
(1998 & 1999)

Co-Counsel repackaging the funding and sponsorship for a three-day radio auction by WIP Sports Radio in Philadelphia. The event raised more than $2 million each year (up from $1.3 million the previous year).

Deafness Research Foundation
(1995-1998)

Co-Counsel for Strategic Planning/ Reorganization and Director Major Individual Giving. The reorganization effort boosted fund raising capabilities, streamlined operations and more effectively serve the medical board’s awarding of research grants. As Consultant serving as Director of Major Individual Giving, more than tripled individual major donor giving in 2 years ($175k to $600k).

Wagner College
(1996)

Co-Counsel, feasibility study and planning of a successful $18 million capital drive for facility enhancement and student recruitment for this Staten Island, Liberal-Arts College.

Carnegie Hall/Fiddlefest (1993)

Co-counsel, producing a fund-raising event to support music education. The performance featured some of the world’s greatest violinists including Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, Arnold Steinhardt, Midori, Ida and Ani Kavafian, and more. It became the most successful single-night fund-raiser in Carnegie Hall’s 102-year history and was the source for an Oscar-nominated documentary film “Small Wonders” and was made into a feature film called “Music from the Heart.”

(1993 to 1996)

Lead Counsel - Producer, creating an annual event for Career Transition For Dancers that features the most unique, exciting and extensive mix of dance on stage in one evening. The event raised funds for scholarships and career counseling for dancers nationally.

Lead Counsel as Director of Development to direct and manage all development initiatives, realigning progams to fit expanded support base and increasing support from $79k to $500k in over two years.

Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition (1993)

Strategy and support, assisting in securing immediate, emergency financing to continue the world’s most famous voice competition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Opera Company of Philadelphia).

USArtists - Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (1992 to 1994)

Co-Counsel, produced and assisted in the creation of an annual exposition and sale of art for benefit the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Drawing dealers from across the country, the event ultimately grew to a nearly $1 million annual net event.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (1990 to 1993)

Co-counsel/support to successful $13 million capital campaign supporting America’s oldest art school and museum. This Philadelphia institution’s campaign resulted in $17 million for renovations and programs.

USArtists - Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (1992 to 1994)

Co-Counsel - Public relations and fund raising campaign for the Gorbachev Foundation working with Ronald Reagan and the Reagan Library to create and distribute the book In Quest of Peace.

UNICEF/“Diary of Anne Frank”
(1988 to 1989)

Strategic Counsel/coordinating producer of a series of fund raising concerts for UNICEF with Audrey Hepburn. Based on the Anne Frank Story, Ms. Hepburn narrated to an original score by Michael Tilson Thomas, accompanied by the New World Symphony in New York, Houston, Chicago, Miami and more.
